SYSTEM RECOMMENDATIONS

Whelen does not have specific kits set up. The following are strobe system recommendations. The basic model/part numbers are given. However, in some cases, the aircraft voltage and mounting location of the light are needed to specify the exact model/part number needed.

Raytheon/Beech Aircraft

Early model twin engine through 1966, Due to the slanted wing-tip, require custom fabricated brackets for mounting the strobe lights.

To convert to strobes, the following is recommended:

1 each A413A,HDACF-14/28 Power Supply
2 each 70821-00 Wing-Tip Strobe Light Assy.
1 each HD-60 Installation Package

Single engine 1967 through 1973, use position lights installed under clear fairings at the wing-tips most forward position.

To convert to strobes, the following is recommended:

1 each A413A,HDACF-14/28 Power Supply
2 each A625 Wing-Tip Strobe Light
1 each A500AV-14 or -28 Tail Strobe/Position Light
1 each HD-T3-90 Installation Package

 To convert to Whelen strobes the following is recommended:

1 each A413A,HDACF-14/28 Power Supply
2 each D90028-3 Wing-Tip Strobe Light
1 each A500AV-14 or -28 Tail Strobe/Position Light
1 each HD-T3-90 Installation Package

To convert the existing Rudder Mount Oscillating Beacon to a solid state Halogen Flasher, the following is recommended:

1 each Model 90044-57 Flashing Anti-Collision Light Assembly

To convert the existing Oscillating Beacon to a solid state Halogen Flasher, the following is recommended:

1 each Model 90044-01 Flashing Anti-Collision Light Assembly

To convert the existing Rotating Beacon to a strobe, the following is recommended

1 each HRCFA-( )14/28 Self-Contained Strobe Light Assembly
The ( ) requires a suffix letter for Lens color, R = Red, W =White, S = Split Red/White

*The A440 Mounting Adapter is required for fuselage mounting.
